
Brennan Doyle Named Big West Men's Track Athlete of the Week

IRVINE, Calif. - Junior Brennan Doyle has been named the Big West Men's Track Athlete of the Week the conference office announced Tuesday afternoon.
Doyle was recognized for his performance at the UC Riverside Spring Track Classic where he won the 400m in a personal-record 47.76. The Burbank, Calif., native finished ahead of the pack by nearly a full second. His time ranks second in the Big West and 31st in the NCAA West Region this season. Doyle was also the Anteaters' top finisher in the 200m at a season-best 22.16.
Doyle is in his first year at UC Irvine after transferring from Pasadena City College where he was a state finalist in the 400m.
This is UCI's first Big West weekly award on the men's side since 2017.
Doyle and the rest of the 'Eaters are back in action this weekend with the Bob Larsen Distance Carnival (March 29) and Jim Bush Legends Invitational (March 30) at UCLA's Drake Stadium.
