No. 6 UCI Falls to No. 8 Michigan, 9-8

LA JOLLA, Calif.- No. 6 UCI's late rally fell short against No. 8 Michigan, 9-8, in the third-place match of the Triton Invitational, Sunday at Canyonview Aquatics Center.
The Anteaters drop to 5-3 on the season while the Wolverines improved to 6-5 overall.
UCI finished fourth at the Triton Invite with a 2-2 record.

> The Wolverines stretched their lead to 6-2 with 5:10 to play
> Lynch and Prentice each had a goal as Michigan led 7-4 at the half

FOURTH QUARTER
> UCI scored three goals in the final frame to come within one, 9-8, with 2:23 to play

> The Anteaters called a timeout with 1:39 remaining but couldn't convert a goal coming up short, 9-8
