LOS ANGELES, Calif. - Four Anteaters established personal records at the Bob Larsen Distance Carnival Friday evening at UCLA's Drake Stadium.
Senior Izzak Mireles led the way with a ninth-place finish in the 10000m. He registered a lifetime-best 31:21.57.
Just two weeks after notching career bests in the 1500m, sophomore Hector Garcia, senior Ashton Garcia and sophomore Sam Ayala did the same in the mile.
Hector paced the UCI trio as he clocked in at 4:16.38 to come in 13th. Ashton also topped his PR by over three seconds at 4:17.47 (15th), while Sam wasn't far behind with a time of 4:18.11 (16th).
UC Irvine is back in action tomorrow at the Mondo Team Challenge in Sacramento.
