UCI Takes Down Furman, 4-3

IRVINE, Calif. --- UCI extended its win streak to four matches while ending Furman's five-match win streak with a 4-3 win Wednesday afternoon at Anteater Stadium.
UC Irvine (7-5, 4-0) won a hard-fought battle in doubles to take the early advantage.
The 'Eaters also scored three straight-set singles wins from Franziska Goettsching, Ali Facey, and Kat Facey to clinch the match early.
Furman fought late to win the final three points including a pair in three-set comebacks.
UCI continues its homestand on Friday with Penn at 1:30 p.m.
