
CoCo Goodson Up for College Boot Award

IRVINE, Calif. --- CoCo Goodson (Ramona / University of Texas) has been nominated for the Soccer News Net College Boot award according to LA Soccer News.
Thirty-two of the nation's top women's college soccer players have been named finalists for the Soccer News Net College Boot award, recognizing the women's college player of the year.
The editors of each of the six sites in the Soccer News Net network nominated up to six local players for the award, each of which will be eligible for the regional player of the year award. The nominations included athletes playing at colleges within each site's coverage area, as well as athletes from the area playing collegiately elsewhere in the country. Nine additional at-large selections rounded out the nominations.
Fans from across the country will be able to vote for the top collegiate player. Voting will begin on Tuesday, November 15 and continue until December 15, and will be conducted on LA Soccer News (www.lasoccernews.com).
Online fan voting will account for 40% of the total toward the award. The remaining 60% of the vote will be cast by the editorial staffs of the six web sites.
CoCo Goodson repeated as Big West Conference Defender of the Year this season, and was one of five Anteaters on the All-Conference First Team. In addition to anchoring a backline that surrendered just 18 goals in 20 games, she scored three goals and racked up five assists.
