IRVINE, Calif. -- No. 5 UC Irvine dominated the net in a 3-0 (25-20, 26-24, 29-27) victory over No. 13 UC San Diego at the Bren Events Center Friday.

The Anteaters (14-3, 2-1) out-blocked the Tritons 11-3 in the victory and out-hit UCSD .309 to .234.

UCI was led by senior William D'Arcy and freshman Andrej Jokanovic with 11 kills each. D'Arcy hit .391 and had four digs and two block assists, while Jokanovic fired two aces and totaled a match-high nine digs and four total blocks (two solo).

INSIDE THE NUMBERS
>Middle blocker Trevor Clark, the nation's leader in attack percentage, hit 500 with five kills. He had five total blocks (1 solo) and an ace
>Outside hitter Andon Kiriakou put down seven kills and four digs
>Setter Cameron Kosty posted 34 set assists, five digs, two kills and four total blocks, which ties his career-best
>Middle blocker Micah Goss had six kills and three block assists
>UCSD (11-8, 2-2) out-dug the Anteaters 32-27 led by Sebastiano Sani's match-best 10 digs to go with a team-high 11 kills

FIRST SET
>The Anteater offense started fast hitting .559 (5-0-9) on the way to 9-4 lead on the strength of kills from four different players, including two from William D'Arcy and Andon Kiriakou
>UCSD scored three in a row before a Triton service error and Cameron Kosty's nifty behind the head dump to the front corner broke the momentum, 15-9
>Three consecutive UCSD errors helped the Anteaters to a 22-13 lead before the Tritons ripped off four straight, including two aces to inch to 22-17
>William D'Arcy would bang a ball off the defense for a kil for the winl, 25-20
>UCI would hit .480 (14-2-25), while UCSD hit .107 (10-7-28)

SECOND SET
>A 4-1 run helped UC San Diego to a quick 5-2 lead
>UCI continued to trail until they exploded for five in a row, that included kills by Kiriakou and Kosty and a block by Clark and Kosty to move the Anteaters in front, 17-15
>The Tritons out-scored UCI 5-2 to tie the set at 23 all
>Tied at 24-24, UCI used a kill by Jokanovic and a block by Jokanovic and Clark to end the set, 26-24

THIRD SET
>Kills by Jokanovic and D'Arcy gave UCI the 5-4 lead then UCSD had four of the next five points to move in front 8-6
>A kill by Jokanovic and an ace from Clark gave the Anteaters a 12-10 advantage
>A kill and two UCI attack errors put the Tritons up 18-17
>UCI went ahead on a kill by Jokanovic and a block by Goss and D'Arcy, 21-19
>Two consecutive errors by the Anteaters allowed UCSD to tie the set at 22
>The Tritons fought off three set points and flipped the script on a UCI error to go up, 27-26
>UCI would end the set and the match with the final three points, a pair of cross court smashes from Jokanovic and an ace from Kosty, 29-27

NOTES
>It is the fourth sweep of the season for UCI and first since Jan. 14
>D'Arcy has double-figure kills in each of the last 13 games
>Jokanovic tied his career-high with four total blocks and sets a new personal high with two solos
>Each team had four aces, the fewest for the Anteaters since they had three on Feb. 11
