Aitken Named to CSC Academic All-District At-Large Team

IRVINE, Calif. – Men's volleyball player Shane Aitken has been named to the 2025-26 Academic All-District® At-Large team, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognizing the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom.
The CSC Academic All-America® program honors student-athletes for having have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average, and athletically must have competed in at least 90% of the team's total games played or have started at least 66% of the team's total games played.
Aitken helped UC Irvine to the National Championship match and No.2 final ranking. He was the only libero on the AVCA 12-member first team All-America list, the third Anteater libero ever to earn that distincton. He was second in the Big West with a 1.98 dig average. The elite passer recorded double-digit digs 10 times, including a career-high 15 versus UC Santa Barbara which was tied for second most by a Big West player this season. The redshirt sophomore also earned honorable mention All-Big West accolades in 2026.
