Jenny Chang fired a career-low 69 to help the Anteaters move up one position at the Golfweek Red Sky Classic.
On the second round, Chang came alive on the back nine, recording three birdies over holes 13-16. She totaled five birdies overall Tuesday and is in 12
th place with a two-day score of 142 (73-69).
UC Irvine moved up to fifth place with a score of 588 (291-297). USC shot a tournament record 276 and leads the tournament field with a score of 552 heading into the final round tomorrow.
Sophomore
Katelyn Kong recorded a two-over 74 and is tied for 24
th with a 36-hole total of 146, while sophomore
Alona Avery is tied for 27
th with a score of (71-76). Sophomore
Katherine Gerbing is tied for 65
th at 153 (75-78) and sophomore
HaYoung Lee is tied for 84
th at 159 (79-80).
UC Irvine tees off at 9:15 a.m. and will play with Charlotte, Miami and Kansas on the final day.
