Women’s Water Polo Garners ACWPC All-Academic Distinction

IRVINE, Calif. – UC Irvine women's water polo landed 10 student-athletes on the ACWPC All-Academic list.
The ACWPC recognizes individual honorees in three categories based on GPA: Outstanding (3.71+), Superior (3.41-3.7), and Excellent (3.2-3.4).
Annabelle Mundelius, Ella Walker, Mary Hassett, and Vivian Bailey all earned Outstanding status. Kennedy East, Lauren Hett, and Maja Layden garnered Superior distinction, while Deirdre Murphy, Madi O'Hara, and Pippa Heaver were part of the Excellent category.
Seven of the Anteaters' 10 honorees were repeat award winners. East led the way with her fourth ACWPC All-Academic accolade. Layden is also a three-time selection, while Bailey, Hassett, Hett, Mundelius, and O'Hara made the cut for the second year in a row.
In addition to the individual honors, UC Irvine was one of 59 programs in the nation to earn a spot on the all-academic team list with a combined cumulative GPA of 3.23.
