LA JOLLA, Calif. - Four Anteater throwers were in action on the first day of the Triton Invitational Friday at UC San Diego.
 
In the javelin, Liam Miksic took second overall and was the top collegiate finisher. Miksic threw for over 200 feet in all six rounds, including a season-best 67.51 meters (221-6) on his third attempt. Logan Peyton recorded his best mark of the afternoon on his final throw where he hit 60.76 meters (199-4) to move into fifth place.
 
Chimobi Onye (44.49m/145-11) and Jake Troxell (42.82m/140-6) also competed in the discus.
 
UC Irvine returns to Triton Track & Field Stadium on Saturday, April 5, for the remainder of the Triton Invitational.
