Anteaters Compete at Mt. SAC Relays and Beach Invitational

AZUSA, Calif. - Three Anteaters ran the 1500m to close out the Bryan Clay Invitational Friday evening at Cougar Stadium.
 
Joshua Schuld led the way with a personal-record 3:48.63. Schuld was 46th in a field of 124 athletes in the 1500m Open A.
 
Juan Chantaca (3:55.03) and Zeid Hussain (3:56.03) also competed in the 1500m Open B.


WALNUT, Calif. - The UC Irvine men's track & field team wrapped up day two of the Mt. SAC Relays Friday at Hilmer Lodge Stadium.
 
Bryce Bushnell, Justin Johnson, Alex Skalmowski and Jake Jensen kicked off the meet with a season-best 41.37 in the 4x100 relay.
 
Jensen had a busy day as he went on to compete in the 100m (10.68), and in the 200m where he matched his season best at 21.54 seconds. Bushnell (10.80) and Johnson (10.84) also ran the 100m.
 
AJ Taylor was in action in the 110m hurdles for the second day in a row, crossing the finish line in 14.73.
 
 
LONG BEACH, Calif. - Over in Long Beach, UCI competed in the steeplechase, pole vault and hammer throw on the first day of the Beach Invitational.
 
Jimmy Markowicz trimmed nearly two seconds off his personal best in the steeple with a time of 9:30.69. He placed fourth overall.
 
Jake Reed led the 'Eaters in the pole vault where he tied for fourth with a clearance of 4.54 meters (14-10.75). Cole Dinkler also tied for ninth at 4.39m (14-4.75).
 
Luke Stuckey started Friday's action in the hammer throw, finishing with a mark of 48.16m (158-0).
 
UCI will conclude the Beach Invitational and Mt. SAC Relays on Saturday.
