Davis, Robinson Out to Strong Starts at Bryan Clay Multis

AZUSA, Calif. - Seniors Jolie Robinson and Jazzmine Davis got out to a strong start in their first heptathlon of the season at the Bryan Clay Multis Thursday at Cougar Stadium.
 
Through four events, Robinson is eighth in Group A with 3,269 points, while Davis leads Group B with 3,222 points.
 
Davis started the afternoon with a personal-record 13.66 in the 100m hurdles. Her time was tops in the competition and moved her up to No. 3 in program history. Davis went on to set lifetime bests in the high jump (1.55m/5-1) and 200m (24.76).
 
Robinson also started the meet with a personal-best 14.33 in the 100m hurdles. She followed that up with a season-best clearance of 1.61 meters (5-3.25) in the high jump. After recording a mark of 12.33m (40-5.5) in the shot put, Robinson closed out the day with a PR 24.78 in the 200m.
 
Robinson and Davis will wrap up action at the Bryan Clay Multis in Azusa, while the rest of the Anteaters make their way to Fullerton for the Titans' Friday Night Lights meet tomorrow.
