Women's Track & Field Adds 12 Newcomers for 2025-26

IRVINE, Calif. - The UC Irvine women's track & field team brings in 12 newcomers for the 2025-26 season. The defending Big West Champion Anteaters add to their depth with seven incoming freshmen, three NCAA Division I transfers, and two junior college transfers.


Joy Anderson | Freshman | Hurdles & High Jump | Long Beach Poly HS
Joy Anderson lettered in basketball and track & field at Long Beach Poly High School. On the track, she was a two-time CIF State Championship finalist and Moore League runner-up in the high jump. As a senior, Anderson helped the Jackrabbits to a second-place finish at the state meet where she was fifth overall in the high jump and eighth in the 300m hurdles. It was Anderson's first season competing in the hurdles.

Grace Baxter | Freshman | Distance | Granite Bay HS
Grace Baxter lettered in cross country and track at Granite Bay High School. As a senior, she won the 5000m at the Sac-Joaquin Section Division 2 Cross Country Championships, and placed ninth at the CIF State Championships in a 5K personal-best 17:51.3. Baxter also had four-straight top-10 Sierra Foothill League finishes, including a runner-up showing in 2024. On the track, Baxter was a three-time CIF-SJS finalist in the 1600m and two-time finalist in the 800m. In addition, she won the 3200m at the 2025 CIF-SJS Division I Finals in a personal-record 10:46.27.

Jessica Condliff | Freshman | Pole Vault | Canyon Crest Academy
Jessica Condliff graduated from Canyon Crest Academy in San Diego as the school record holder in the pole vault. Condliff cleared a personal-best 3.86 meters (12-8) in a runner-up finish at the 2025 Mt. Carmel Sun Devil Track & Field Invitational. She also won the event at the 2025 VS Athletics California Winter Outdoor Championships with a height of 3.75m (12-4), and tied for 16th at the Nike Outdoor Nationals (3.72m/12-2.75). As a sophomore, Condliff was the North County Conference runner-up, took third at the CIF-San Diego Section Finals, and advanced to the CIF State Championships.

Elisabeth Driscoll | Sophomore | Throws | Duke | Canyon Crest Academy
Elisabeth Driscoll spent the 2024-25 season at Duke where she competed in the discus, hammer, and weight throw. She established outdoor season-bests of 44.08 meters (144-7) in the discus and 40.32m (132-3) in the hammer.
 
Driscoll prepped at Canyon Crest Academy in San Diego. She was a two-time North County Conference Coastal League champion in the discus, setting a school-record 48.13m (157-11) at the 2024 league meet. Driscoll also advanced to the CIF State Championships as a junior and senior with a high finish of sixth in 2023.

Natalie Gonzalez | Freshman | Distance | Downey HS
Natalie Gonzalez competed in cross country and track at Downey High School. She was a two-time Suburban Valley League cross country individual champion. In 2024, she also won the 3-mile race at the Mt. SAC Cross Country Invitational and the Woodbridge Classic. On the track, Gonzalez defended her league title in the 1600m and 3200m, while adding victories in the 800m and 4x400 relay as a senior. She advanced to the CIF-Southern Section Finals in the 1600m where she placed seventh overall in a personal-record 4:55.95.

Emma Hadley | Junior | Distance | University of Colorado | Canyon HS
Emma Hadley spent the last two seasons as a member of the cross country and track & field teams at the University of Colorado. She makes her return to the Orange County area where she was a standout distance runner at Canyon High School. In cross country, Hadley was a three-time individual league champion, and posted three-straight top-10 finishes at the CIF State Championships. On the track, she was a three-time Crestview League champion in the 1600m, and went on to finish ninth at the 2022 CIF State Championships. She graduated as the school record holder in the 800m, 1600m, mile and 5K.

Gabrielle Hawkins | Freshman | Sprints | Olympian HS
Gabrielle Hawkins was a four-year letterwinner in track & field at Olympian High School in Chula Vista. As a senior, Hawkins claimed the Mesa League title in the 100m, 400m and 4x400 relay. She also won the 400m at the CIF-San Diego Section Championships where she ran a personal-record 55.15. Hawkins qualified for the CIF State Championships in the 400m and 4x400. As a junior, she was the league champion in the 400m and 4x400.

Aoife Hernon | Graduate Student | Sprints | UC Santa Barbara | Mountain View HS
Aoife Hernon spent the last two seasons at UC Santa Barbara. She was a Big West finalist in the 400m in 2024 (4th) and 2025 (9th). Hernon transferred to UCSB from Santa Monica College where she was the conference champion in the 400m. She also placed third overall at the 2023 3C2A State Championships. Hernon prepped at Mountain View High School. She was a Central Coast Section finalist in both the 200m (3rd) and 400m (4th) as a senior.

Avery Hutchison | Freshman | Distance | Buchanan HS
Avery Hutchison graduated from Buchanan High School in Clovis. As a member of the Bears' cross country team, Hutchison placed among the top-five at the Tri-River Athletic Conference Championships, and among the top-10 at the CIF Central Section Championships in each of her three seasons on the varsity squad. She also made three appearances in the CIF State Championships with a high finish of 21st as a junior. On the track, Hutchison was a CIF Central Section qualifier in the 800m, 1600m and 3200m.

Kaitlin Kenney | Freshman | Distance | Crescenta Valley HS
Kaitlin Kenney lettered in cross country and track at Crescenta Valley High School. She had back-to-back third-place finishes at the Pacific League Cross Country Finals as a junior and senior. Kenney also competed at the CIF State Championships both years with a high finish of 18th in 2024. On the track, Kenney was a three-time CIF-Southern Section qualifier in the 800m, and two-time qualifier in the 1600m. As a junior, she claimed the 800m title at the Pacific League Championships.

Giselle Rodriguez | Junior | Javelin | Butte College | Fall River HS
Giselle Rodriguez was a two-year member of the track & field team at Butte College. As a sophomore, she placed fifth overall in the javelin, and eighth in the triple jump at the 3C2A State Championships. Rodriguez also won the javelin with a personal-record 46.23 meters (151-8), and took seventh in her first ever heptathlon at the 3C2A Northern California Championships.
 
Rodriguez prepped at Fall River High School where she was the 2021 CIF Northern Section champion in the 100m hurdles and 300m hurdles. She qualified for the CIF State Championships in the 100H. Rodriguez was also the league champion in the 100H, 300H, 4x100 relay, and triple jump.

Kaylee Tan | Junior | Pole Vault | San Diego Mesa College | Del Norte HS
Kaylee Tan was a two-time 3C2A State runner-up in the pole vault at San Diego Mesa College. She won the event at the 3C2A Southern California Championships both years, while also taking home the conference title as a sophomore. Tan cleared a personal-record 3.85 meters (12-7.5) in her victory at the 2024 Southern California Championships.
 
Tan prepped at Del Norte High School where she competed in the pole vault, long jump, and sprints.
