IRVINE, Calif. – It's scary how well the UC Irvine women's volleyball team is playing, recording their third consecutive sweep, beating UC San Diego 25-21, 28-26 and 25-23 at the LionTree Arena on Halloween night.
The Anteaters hit .278 (51-14-133), the fifth best mark of the season and were led by outside hitter
Kendra Duffey's 17 kills. The senior hit .302 (17-4-43) with seven digs and an ace.
Senior libero
Campbell Jensen totaled a match-high 21 digs and moved into second all-time in UCI career digs with 1,762. She passed Devon Sutherland (2005-08) for second (1,756).
Outside hitter
Madison Triplett had a career-high 14 kills, hitting .306 (14-3-36). She added six digs and two block assists.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS

Nicole Feliciano recorded 44 set assists, nine digs and four block assists

Lois Hansen pitched in nine kills, two kills and a block assist

Ally Bolden tallied six kills and shared the team lead for total blocks with

Nicole Feliciano and Bolden to move the Anteaters ahead 8-5
> The Tritons answered with a 7-2 run of their own to take a 14-11 lead only to watch UCI have a kill by Hansen, a block by Bolden and Triplett and a UCSD attack error to tie the score at 14-14
>Kills by Duffey and Rowe were sandwiched around a solo block by Rowe to give UCI some separation, 20-17
>A 4-1 run by UCSD tied the score 22 all
>The teams would go point for point until the Tritons had a pair of kills for set point, 25-24
>A Triplett kill kept the set going
>A kill by Bolden, a block by Feliciano and Rowe and a kill by Duffey closed out the set for the Anteaters, 28-26
THIRD SET
>Kills by Hansen and Bolden plus an ace by Jensen moved UCI out to a 5-2 lead
>The Anteaters broke open the set with a kill by Duffey, a block Rowe and Feliciano and two Triton attack errors, 11-6
>A pair of kills by UCSD closed the gap to 17-19, but UCI would answer every Triton point until a 4-0 spurt that gave UCSD a 21-20 lead
>UCI rallied on three consecutive kills by Triplett, Hansen and Bolden, 23-21
>Bolden would end the set and match with a kill, 25-23
