TEMPE, Ariz. β UC Irvine's run through the doubles main draw of the ITA Southwest Regional Championships came to an end in the Round of 16 Sunday at Kiwanis Tennis Center.

Mason Bui and Nathaniel Suh came up short in an 8-4 loss to San Diego State's Denis Majorov/William Kleege. The Anteater duo had won their first two matches of the tournament, including an upset victory over Pepperdine's seventh-seeded pairing yesterday.

In the singles consolation draw, Hiroki Sakagawa earned a straight-set winΒ over Niels Villard of Arizona State, 6-2, 6-3.
