IRVINE, Calif. - UC Irvine men's tennis has been well-represented on the 2026 ITF Men's World Tennis Tour where three Anteaters have won main draw matches to earn ATP points this year.
Alum Noah Zamora '25 leads the way as he is currently 669th in doubles and 860th in singles in the ATP Rankings. Two weeks ago, he advanced to the doubles final and the singles quarterfinal of the ITF M15 Irvine. Zamora also traveled to Japan in March for several tournaments. He claimed runner-up honors in the M15 Hinode singles main draw, while making a quarterfinal appearance in singles and doubles at the M15 Tsukuba event. Back in January, Zamora went 3-1 to finish second in doubles at the ITF M25 Winston-Salem. At UCI, Zamora was the 2025 Big West Player of the Year and a four-time all-conference selection in both singles and doubles. As a senior, he qualified for the NCAA Singles Championship, winning his first-round match over the 13th-ranked player in the nation.
Recent alum Hiroki Sakagawa, who was named the 2026 Big West Men's Tennis Player of the Year, picked up his first ATP point of the season with a 7-6 (3), 6-0 first-round victory over Roshan Santhosh at the ITF M15 Claremont event last week. It was his third match in as many days after going 2-0 in the qualifying draw.
Rising sophomore Alex Guajardo earned his first career ATP point after winning his first-round match in the main draw of the ITF M15 Lakewood on May 27. He defeated William Kleege in three sets, 6-2, 6-7 (4), 6-2. Earlier in May, Guajardo went 5-0 to advance to the finals of the Level 5 Open: SoCal Pro Series at Lakewood to secure a wild card entry into the ITF main draw.
