Harashima Leads Anteaters in Final Round of Visit Stockton Pacific Invite

STOCKTON, Calif. – The UC Irvine men's golf team closed out the Visit Stockton Pacific Invitational in 16th place Saturday at The Reserve at Spanos Park.
 
The Anteaters carded a final-round 295 for a 5-count-4 total of 888 (304-289-295). Tournament host Pacific ran away with the team title at 47-under, finishing 20 strokes ahead of runner-up Colorado. The Tigers' Felix Bouchard was the individual medalist with a 12-under 204.
 
Senior Rei Harashima had three birdies against just one bogey for UCI's best round of the day at 2-under 70. He climbed 22 spots into a tie for 34th with a 54-hole score of 218 (76-72-70).
 
Sophomore Jack Yu tied for 55th at 221 (76-71-74), while classmate Owen Davis-Piger (78-72-74) was three strokes back in a tie for 70th.
 
Junior Jason Tang (225) and sophomore Tommy Lin (240) rounded out UC Irvine's lineup.
 
The 'Eaters have a quick turnaround as they make their way to the Pacific Northwest for the Oregon State Invitational, Oct. 14-15.
