Men's Soccer Drops 2024 Season Schedule

IRVINE, Calif. --- UC Irvine men's soccer starts the march toward another Big West Championship and NCAA Tournament appearance with a look at its 2024 schedule. Tickets are on-sale now and start at just $7 per person!

Coach Raz's crew will start with a pair of Southern California exhibition matches. August 11, the team meets up with Grand Canyon at the Chula Vista Elite Athlete Training Center and wrap up preseason play in Anteater Stadium on Saturday, August 17 with an NCAA First Round rematch against LMU at 6:00 p.m.

The games start counting August 22 with a trip up to Oregon State, a College Cup semifinalist last season, to kick off the regular season. Oregon State is 1 of 4 NCAA Tournament participants from a year ago on the Anteater slate.

UCI's home opener is a Thursday night matchup with another tournament squad, Vermont, on August 29 as part of two doubleheaders with women's soccer. Sunday, September 1 will also be a doubleheader with UCI hosting Mercyhurst in the second part kicking off at 4:00 p.m. UCI plays a total of nine home matches with five in non-conference play.

The 'Eaters will team up with the women's soccer program twice for doubleheaders:
  • Thursday, August 29: 4:00 p.m. Women's Soccer vs. San Francisco | 7:00 p.m. Men's Soccer vs. Vermont
  • Sunday, September 1: 1:00 p.m. Women's Soccer vs. Arizona | 4:00 p.m. Men's Soccer vs. Mercyhurst

Men's soccer shifts to their long, East-Coast road trip with September 6th and 9th dates against UCF and South Florida in the state of Florida.

The 'Eaters wrap up non-conference action and the month of September with three straight home matchups on Friday and Saturday nights at 6:00 p.m. The second NCAA Tournament participant visits and kick the stretch off on Friday, September 13 as San Diego comes to Anteater Stadium. The final two Saturdays of the month see Utah Tech (Sept. 21) and San Diego State (Sept. 28) take on UC Irvine.

October begins Big West action with UCI at home to host the 2023 regular season champs, Cal State Fullerton, out of the gate on October 2. The Big West road heads out to UC Davis and UC Riverside next before primetime action in Anteater Stadium against UC Santa Barbara (Oct. 12) and Cal State Bakersfield (Oct. 16).

More road action sees the 'Eaters travel to CSUN and Cal Poly before the home finale on Saturday, October 26 vs. Sacramento State. The regular season concludes November 2 with a trip to UC San Diego.

Big West Championship play begins the November 6 with semifinals on the 9th and final the 16th. The entire men's soccer tournament is played on campus sites with top two seeds earning a bye to the semifinals.
