Anteater Duo Recognized For Work In The Classroom

IRVINE, Calif. – Senior Cole Power and sophomore Maxim Grigoriev have been named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Men's At-Large Academic All-District Team.
Power has been selected to advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First, second and third teams will be announced on July 17.
Power earned second team All-American and first team All-Big West distinction in his final season. The libero averaged 1.93 digs per set, which is second in the Big West. He had a season-best 15 digs in a win over then-No. 1 Grand Canyon.
Grigoriev was a first team All-Big West honoree and was named honorable mention All-American. The middle blocker was sixth in the Big West in hitting percentage (.335), eighth in blocks (0.89), 12th in points (2.98) and 16th in kills (2.17). Against Big West opponents, the sophomore led the league in hitting percentage with a .500 mark (59-10-98). He posted a career-best 17 kills in a win over USC.
To be eligible for CSC Academic All-District honors, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, maintain a minimum 3.5 cumulative GPA. The CSC recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in competition and in the classroom.
