> UC Irvine enters the week ranked tied sixth with Stanford in the weekly CWPA poll
> The Anteaters are set to play in the annual Triton Invitational at UC San Diego with two determined match-ups No. 11 LMU and No. 5 Fresno State
> No. 11 LMU heads into the weekend with a 6-1 overall record
> The Lions have played in two tournaments thus far into the season where they saw their lone defeat to Arizona State (12-7) in the Arizona State tournament
> LMU is riding a four game win streak entering the Triton Invite where they will first take on FSU before facing the Anteaters
> The two teams met twice in the 2023 season when UCI took both victories from the Lions to take the lead in the all-time series

> Graduate transfer Brooke Hourigan has made an immediate impact and is leading UCI in goals with seven
> Hourigan posted a four goal performance on five shots in the final game of the Polo Palooza tournament against Big West foe UC Davis
> Lauren Hett has accumulated a team best seven points, courtesy of her four goal and two assist performance in the win over the Aggies
> Junior Libby Alexander and freshman Sara Naulty rank second on the team with six points each
> Alexander recorded all her points on goals (6) while Naulty's are split up with four goals and two assists
> Gracie Helberg has scored five goals so far this season for UCI
> Junior Gabby Norris leads the assist effort for the Anteaters, dishing out four assists
> Defensively, Maja Layden and Kili Skibby each have blocked two shots coming towards the cage
> In goal, Faith Tedesco has started all four games and holds a 2-2 record
> Tedesco saved 33 shots in those contests for a 0.532 save percentage which ranks fourth in the Big West
