Round 2 Tee Times

LA QUINTA, Calif. - The UC Irvine men's golf team wrapped up the first day of the Big West Championships in fifth place Sunday at La Quinta Country Club.
 
The Anteaters combined for a 5-count-4 total of 3-over 291. They are one stroke behind Cal Poly in fourth and 10 strokes out of first as Cal State Fullerton, CSUN and Long Beach State are all tied atop the leaderboard at 7-under.
 
Darien Zhao paced the 'Eaters, carding a 2-under 70 to tie for seventh. Zhao has come in at or below par in six of his last eight completed rounds.
 
Rei Harashima is also among the top-15 as he is tied for 14th at 1-over 73. Jin Nakao and Johnny Bai both registered a 2-over 74 to tie for 21st, while Andy Zou (77) is tied for 36th. Harashima, Nakao and Zou are all making their Big West Championship debut.
 
UCI is back in action at La Quinta Country Club tomorrow with Round 2 tee times starting at 10 a.m.
