IRVINE, Calif. - The UC Irvine women's track & field team established three top-10 marks on the final day of the Steve Scott Invitational Saturday at Anteater Stadium.

Deandra Tyler set two personal records in her fifth shot put victory of the season. On her third attempt of Flight 3, Tyler registered a lifetime-best 15.27 meters (50-1.25). She then came back in the finals to top that mark with a toss of 15.38m (50-5.5). Tyler now ranks third in program history and moved back to the top of the Big West leaderboard.

On the track,
Alexis Alexander ran a lifetime-best 2:09.09 in the 800m. She finished third out of 64 athletes and climbed to No. 6 on UCI's all-time charts.
Cathy Salazar-Gasca (2:11.55) was also eighth overall.

Amari Fraser shaved two-hundredths of a second off her 100m hurdle PR to take over sole possession of 10th in the school record books at 14.02. Fraser also placed third in the 400m hurdles (62.40).

In the sprints,
Lauren Aquino had a top-10 showing in the 400m, crossing the finish line in 57.70.
Samantha Bartz ran a wind-aided 12.03 to lead the 'Eaters in the 100m, while
Alana Odom had the team's top time of the day in the 200m at 25.17.

Cathy Salazar-Gasca, in the team's final home meet of the season.

The Big West Championships at Cal State Fullerton are up next, starting with the heptathlon, May 5-6. The main events will then take place the following weekend, May 12-13.
