IRVINE, Calif. - The UC Irvine men's track & field team concluded its regular season with the second day of the Steve Scott Invitational Saturday at Anteater Stadium.

Justin Willingham led the 'Eaters with a pair of top-five showings. In the discus, he came in fourth out of 33 with a personal-record 52.97 meters (173-9). Willingham also had UCI's best mark of the day in the shot put at 16.61m (54-6), which was good for third overall.
Quincy Stokes added an eighth-place finish in the field of 30 athletes with a toss of 16.00m (52-6).

On the track,
Malcolm Overbaugh,
Eric Parker,
Max Daniels and
Ty Sheridan combined for a season-best 3:14.12 in the 4x400 relay.

Individually, Overbaugh was fifth out of 51 in the 200m where he clocked in at 21.49 seconds.
Brandon Burns (22.32) and Sheridan (22.37) were also among the top-25.

Jarel Sayles paced a quartet of Anteaters in the 110m hurdles with a time of 14.59 to place seventh overall.
Maxwell Jefferson wasn't far behind in eighth at 14.75 seconds.

Jefferson (55.72) and Sayles (55.74) also competed in the 400m hurdles, while Burns (10.86) took 13th in a 100m field of 46 runners.

UCI recognized its three seniors,
Jason Messner,
Malcolm Overbaugh and
Julian Sotelo, in the team's final home meet of the season.

The Big West Championships at Cal State Fullerton are up next, starting with the decathlon, May 5-6. The main events will then take place the following weekend, May 12-13.
