LA JOLLA, Calif. - The UC Irvine men's golf team finished seventh at the UC San Diego Invitational at Torrey Pines Golf Course.

The Anteaters posted a 288 in Tuesday's final round to close out the tournament with a 5-count-4 total of 14-under 850 (279-283-288).

Oklahoma Christian won the team title at 832 (-32), while Seattle U was two strokes back in second. CSUN's Eirik Thomassen was the individual medalist with an impressive 54-hole score of 20-under 196 (68-63-65).

Freshman
Rei Harashima and junior
Darien Zhao led the 'Eaters in a tie for 19th. After firing back-to-back 70s on Monday, Harashima came in at even par in the final round for a 4-under 212.

Zhao also carded his second 70 of the competition to finish at 4-under 212 (70-72-70) and climb eight spots into the top-20.

Redshirt freshman
Jin Nakao tied for 25th at 3-under (69-71-73--213), while freshman
Andy Zou (74-70-73) and sophomore
Johnny Bai (70-74-73) tied for 45th.

UC Irvine is back in action next week, traveling to the Pacific Northwest for the Seattle U Redhawk Invitational, April 3-4, at Chambers Bay Golf Course.
