KAPOLEI, O'ahu - UC Irvine men's golf held steady in the top-five after Wednesday's second round of the 19-team Kapolei Invitational at Kapolei Golf Club.

The Anteaters are currently fifth with a 36-hole score of 25-under 551 (272-279). No. 46 Loyola Marymount climbed five spots in the standings to take the lead at 36-under. The Lions hold a five-stroke advantage over Texas State.

LMU's Tony Hendricks and UC San Diego's Kyle Dougherty are tied atop the individual leaderboard at 12-under 132.

Freshman
Jason Tang carded his second consecutive sub-70 score with five birdies against only one bogey. He fired a 68 to get to 11-under entering tomorrow's final round. Tang is tied for third with a 133 (65-68).

Sophomore
Yaoting Zou is tied for 24th at 6-under 138 (68-70). Zou had one blemish on his scorecard with a double bogey on the third, but bounced right back with a birdie on the fourth. He was consistent the rest of the way with two more birdies on the back nine to get to 2-under on the afternoon.

Darien Zhao is also tied for 31st at 5-under 139 (68-71), while sophomore
Rei Harashima jumped 12 spots into a tie for 55th with a season-best 70 (-2). Harashima owns a 36-hole score of 142.

Jin Nakao rounds out the Anteaters' lineup at 3-over 147 (71-76).

The final round of the Kapolei Invitational will be contested Thursday with tee times starting at 11 a.m. (PDT).
