Women's Water Polo Signs Five To 2025 Roster

IRVINE, Calif.— UC Irvine women's water polo head coach Dan Klatt announces his five signees joining the 2025 Anteater roster.

Isabella Calderon | Attacker | Orange, Calif. | Orange Lutheran HS
Isabella Calderon, a California native, is from nearby Orange. Calderon is a four-year letter winner at Orange Lutheran High School in both water polo and swimming. The attacker has competed with USA Water Polo and is a two-time Junior Olympian All-American. In the classroom, Calderon is a three-time USA Water Polo Academic All-American and Orange Lutheran Scholar Athlete.

Gabriella Graniello | Attacker | Yorba Linda, Calif. | Foothill HS
Gabriella Graniello heads over from Yorba Linda where she was an attacker at Foothill High School. Graniello is a four-year letter winner, named to the All-League First Team her sophomore year, and All-CIF Third Team her junior season.

Pippa Heaver | Attacker | Long Beach, Calif. | Wilson HS
Pippa Heaver comes to UC Irvine by way of Wilson High School in Long Beach where she was named the State MVP her sophomore year. Heaver has competed with USA Water Polo for six years and has earned All-American honors.

Deirdre Murphy | Center | Tustin, Calif. | Foothill HS
Deirdre Murphy makes her way to Irvine from Tustin. Murphy lettered all four years in water polo at Tustin High School. In 2021, the center was placed on the All-Crestview League Second Team and All-CIF Open Division Third Team. Murphy continued her success in the pool in 2022 with All-Crestview League and All-CIF First Team recognition. In her time with USA Water Polo, Murphy earned All-American Honorable Mention nods in 2021 with her time on the U16 team.

Peyton Pierson | Attacker | Tustin, Calif. | Foothill HS
Peyton Pierson, an attacker, comes from Foothill High School in Tustin where she lettered in water polo. In her junior campaign, Pierson was named to the All-Century Conference First Team and All-CIF Second Team. The attacker also played for the SOCAL Water Polo Club.
