Julie Brooks Departs For Hawaii

Honolulu, Hawaii – Head women's golf coach Julie Brooks is returning home to become the head coach at the University of Hawaii after 16 years at UC Irvine.
Brooks, a native of Hawaii, has been named Big West Coach of the Year three times and has led UCI to two NCAA appearances.
A national search for her replacement will begin immediately.
"I'd like to thank Julie for all that she has accomplished here at UC Irvine," Athletic Director Paula Smith said. "She has been a valuable member of our department and a pillar of commitment. Her teams have excelled not only on the golf course, but in the classroom and have always represented UCI with the highest of standards."
