UC Irvine Sits In Eighth At Big West Championship

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. – UC Irvine sits in eighth place after the second round of the Big West Championships.
Senior Angela Bagasbas had two birdies and posted the best round of the day with a 78. Junior Megan Yang, senior Sienna Lyford, sophomore Coco Yang and freshman Nicole Zhang all recorded a score of 80 Monday at the San Luis Obispo Country Club.
Megan Yang tops the squad with a two-day score of 156. She is in 20th place followed by Lyford in 26th with a score of 159 and Bagasbas tied for 27th at 160. C. Yang is tied for 30th with a two-day total of 161, while Zhang is tied for 33rd with a score of 162.
The Anteaters are in eighth place with one round remaining, recording a two-day total of 636 (318-318).
The championship concludes with 18 holes tomorrow, beginning at 7:30 a.m.
