IRVINE, Calif. - The UC Irvine women's track & field team wrapped up its first home meet of the season, hosting the Anteater Distance Twilight Thursday evening.

UCI was joined by UCLA, San Diego, Cal State Fullerton, Long Beach State and UC Riverside for five events at Anteater Stadium.

Sophomore Elizabeth Celada Padilla led a quartet of 'Eaters in the 800m where she was third with a time of 2:21.30. Sophomore Tess Mathes took fourth in her season debut (2:23.44), and was followed by freshmen Alexis Alexander (2:24.56) and Hana Nip (2:25.96).

Junior Hannah Chau was sixth out of 28 in the 1500m, crossing the finish line in 4:38.79. Sophomore Cathy Salazar-Gasca also placed among the top-10 with a lifetime-best 4:42.58.

Sophomore McKenna Paulson added a top-10 showing in the 5000m (18:15.02).

Celada Padilla, sophomore Nikki Fulcomer, Alexander and freshman Madison Elliott had the top time in the final event of the night, finishing the 4x400 in 4:17.99.
