UCI Comes up Short Against Arizona State, 10-9

LA JOLLA, Calif. - The fifth-ranked UC Irvine women's water polo team dropped a 10-9 decision to No. 8 Arizona State in its second game of the UCSD Triton Invitational Saturday evening at Canyonview Aquatic Center.
The Anteaters fall to 7-3 on the season, while the Sun Devils improve to 8-1.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
> Elena Flynn led the 'Eaters with three goals, two of which came in the first quarter.

Quarter One
> UC Irvine struck first and took a 3-0 lead following a Prentice goal at the 4:59 mark.

> The two teams traded goals in the opening minutes of the second frame.
