Anteaters Host Grand Canyon in NCAA First Round

IRVINE, Calif. --- UC Irvine men's soccer secured an at-large berth to the 2018 NCAA Tournament Monday morning and will host the NCAA First Round matchup in Anteater Stadium.
UC Irvine will open up with a home match Thursday, November 15, facing the champions out of the Western Athletic Conference, Grand Canyon, in a first round matchup at 7:00 p.m. The Anteaters return to the NCAA Tournament for the sixth time, all in the last 11 seasons, and first time since 2014.
Big West Coach of the Year Yossi Raz has taken the program to the NCAA tournament in just his second season posting an 11-5-3 record while finishing with a national RPI of 23. The team is led by senior forward and Big West Offensive Player of the Year Ivan Canales and fellow senior and Big West Midfielder of the Year, Daniel Crisostomo.
Tickets for this week's home match, $10 for adults and $5 for youth/students with ID, will go on sale Tuesday morning at 10:00 a.m. More information can be found here.
