LOS ANGELES, Calif. – No. 3 UCLA defeated No. 6 UC Irvine 16-1 on a rainy Friday night at Spieker Aquatics Center.
UCI goes to 7-4 overall as All-American Mary Brooks scored the Anteaters lone goal as the third period was winding down.
Riley Shaw recorded three saves.
The Bruins, who improved to 8-0, were led by Maddie Musselman's four goals.
The Anteaters will host the Barbara Kalbus Invitational next Friday-Sunday (Feb. 24-26). UCI will open the tournament against San Diego State at 4:15 p.m. at the Anteater Aquatic Center Friday.
