No. 7 UC Irvine Narrowly Defeated by No. 4 Hawai'i 3-2

Manoa, Hawai'i – No. 7 UC Irvine (11-9) was edged out by No. 4 Hawai'i (14-5) in the final 13 seconds of the game 3-2.
In a low scoring match that did not see a goal on the board until the second period, the Anteaters and the Rainbow Wahine battled it out until the end. Strong defense and unfulfilled attempts kept both teams in the game.
The 'Eaters continued to press in the final period and scored their second goal giving them the advantage with a shot by Destene Albers. Hawai'i came up with one of their own, scoring just over a minute later to tie it up 2-2.
