No. 44 Anteaters Lose Lead in Loss at LMU

LOS ANGELES, Calif. --- UCI ran into some trouble at LMU Tennis Center falling 4-3 to the host Lions Wednesday afternoon.
LMU (4-4) actually took the early lead in doubles. Sarah Gong and Brooke Schweyer came together at No. 2 for the lone doubles victory for the 'Eaters.
UC Irvine (3-5, 1-0) would climb back into it with three early singles points via Ali Facey, Kat Facey, and Sarah Stadfelt.
The Lions, however, would forge back with three sweeps in positions 1 through 3 which included a tiebreaker set in each to retake the lead and the match.
For UCI, it falls to 3-5 on the year, however, it came make up a lot of ground as it begins a stretch of 10 consecutive home matches on Saturday as Big West play continues on with an 11:00 a.m. match against UC Santa Barbara at Anteater Tennis Stadium
