- Scored Cal’s first goal of the truncated spring 2021 regular season, a 50th-minute strike vs. Stanford
- Named the Athletic Study Center’s Scholar-Athlete of the Week, as Gomez – a peer advisor for the ASC’s Scholar-Athlete Freshman Transition Seminars – was recognized for challenging his peers to view obstacles as opportunities for growth and to embrace a mindset of “thinking outside the box” during their Cal journeys.
- Played in a career-high 16 games, starting three in 2019
- Recorded his first point for the Bears with an assist in a 3-3 tie at UCLA on Oct. 13
- Also assisted on a game-winning goal in a 3-2 upset of No. 1 Washington in Seattle
- Gomez netted his first collegiate goal in the 39th minute of Cal’s 3-1 loss at UC Santa Barbara on Nov. 21 in the first round of the NCAA tournament.
