The redshirt freshman won the Irvine City Championship at Strawberry Farms Golf Club in July 2011 with a tournament record of 7-under 135 (69-66)...placed second at the 2009 Long Beach City Championship with a score of 10-under...was fifth in a 2009 AJGA tournament at Oak Valley Golf Course...was Player of the Year at Stockdale High School in 2008...finished second in the 2008 CIF state championship...an all-area selection in 2009 when he had the top scoring average in Kern County...majoring in criminology, law and society...has two sisters Rebeca and Erica...parents are Pete and Sonia Fernandez.
