All members of the UC Irvine campus community have a duty to follow the NCAA, Big West, MPSF and UC Irvine institutional policies, but here in the compliance office, we are here to help.  The Compliance Office for UC Irvine Intercollegiate Athletics is committed to providing student-athletes with accurate information about the rules and regulations that govern their eligibility and participation in NCAA Division I intercollegiate athletics. However, each student-athlete, as an important member of this community, is also individually responsible for knowing the rules and regulations, and understanding when to ask before they act.  The consequences of an NCAA violation can be profound and directly affect student-athletes unlike any other member of this community.  Although the education process is an important step to avoid any violations and helps to ensure institutional controls are working properly, true compliance comes from each student-athlete’s diligence and active communication when confronted with any compliance issues.  Please do not ever hesitate to reach out to us with questions or concerns, we are here for you!
