Lightning Suspends Play at Branch Law Firm/Dick McGuire Invitational

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Play was suspended due to lightning Monday night at the Branch Law Firm/Dick McGuire Invitational, leaving the 'Eaters with one final round still to play following the completion of the second round Tuesday morning.
Zoe Sprecher leads the way for UC Irvine after making it through 32 holes. Sprecher is currently tied for fifth place at two under par. She opened the tournament with a 1-under 71 in the first round and has continued to make an impact throughout the second round. Sprecher has recorded nine birdies so far, tying for first in the tournament in that category.
Jio Yoo is tied for 18th place at two over par after also completing 32 holes. Yoo carded an even-par 72 in the opening round and has totaled seven birdies through the first two rounds, tying for sixth in the tournament.
Madeline Lee, competing as an individual, is tied for 58th after making it through 33 holes. Lee has recorded three birdies during the tournament. Veronica Man is also tied for 58th, completing 33 holes with one birdie.
Obi Chan sits in 63rd place after making it through 33 holes and recording four birdies. Apple Zheng is currently in 77th place, having completed 34 holes with four birdies.
The third and final round will begin following the completion of the second round Tuesday morning. The final round is scheduled for a 7:30 a.m. shotgun start as the 'Eaters look to close out the tournament on a strong note.
