UC Irvine Men's Water Polo Unveils 2026 Schedule

IRVINE, Calif. – The UC Irvine men's water polo team has unveiled its 2026 schedule, highlighted by a pair of home tournaments at Anteater Aquatics Complex.
The Anteaters open the 2026 campaign by hosting the UCI Invitational on Aug. 28–29. The UCI Invitational will be a ticketed event, with additional details to be announced. UCI then travels to Redlands for the Inland Empire Classic on Sept. 4–5.
UCI returns home to host UCLA on Sept. 11 at 2 p.m. before making the short trip to Los Angeles to take on USC on Sept. 12 at 1 p.m. The Anteaters then head to Palo Alto for the MPSF Invitational, Sept. 18-20.
The 'Eaters are back at Anteater Aquatics Complex for the UCI Mini Tournament on Sept. 26 before welcoming Navy on Sept. 27 at noon.
UC Irvine heads back on the road on Oct. 2 for the Gary Troyer Invitational before opening Big West play against Cal State Fullerton on Oct. 9 at 6 p.m. at Anteater Aquatics Complex.
The annual Ted Newland Alumni Game is set for Oct. 10 at 11 a.m. before the Anteaters travel to face Big West newcomer California Baptist on Oct. 17 at noon.
UC Irvine then begins a three-game homestand, opening with a conference matchup against UC San Diego on Oct. 23 at 6 p.m. The Anteaters host Air Force on Oct. 25 at noon before welcoming UC Santa Barbara for another Big West contest on Oct. 30 at 6 p.m.
The regular-season conference schedule concludes on Nov. 5 as UC Irvine travels to Long Beach State for the Black and Blue rivalry match at 7 p.m.
The Anteaters close out the regular season at home on Nov. 13, hosting Pacific at 6 p.m., before heading to Long Beach for the Big West Championship, hosted by Long Beach State, Nov. 20-22.
Ticket Information: The UCI Invitational (Aug. 28–29) is the only ticketed home event on the 2026 schedule. Tickets are not required for any other home contests. All events at Anteater Aquatics Complex are subject to a maximum venue capacity of 500 spectators.
