IRVINE, Calif. -- No. 5 UC Irvine dominated the net in a 3-0 (25-20, 26-24, 29-27) victory over No. 13 UC San Diego at the Bren Events Center Friday.
The Anteaters (14-3, 2-1) out-blocked the Tritons 11-3 in the victory and out-hit UCSD .309 Â to .234.
UCI was led by senior
William D'Arcy and freshman
Andrej Jokanovic with 11 kills each. D'Arcy hit .391 and had four digs and two block assists, while Jokanovic fired two aces and totaled a match-high nine digs and four total blocks (two solo).
