FULLERTON, Calif. - UC Irvine men's track & field had three top-10 showings to start the Ben Brown Invitational Thursday at Cal State Fullerton.

Freshman
Griffin Cole led the way, claiming runner-up honors in the javelin. Cole was in ninth before climbing seven spots in the standings on his sixth and final attempt where he recorded a season-best 61.17 meters (200-8). His mark ranks seventh in school history. Graduate student
Darrin Campbell also finished sixth with a toss of 58.80m (192-11).

Sophomore
Duke Pascoe came in sixth out of 36 in the hammer throw. For the second week in a row, Pascoe established a personal record, this time hitting 57.33 meters (188-1). He moved up two spots to No. 6 in program history.

The Anteaters continue action at the Ben Brown Invitational on Friday, while UCI's distance runners will make their way to San Diego for the Aztec Coastal Classic.
