FROM HEAD COACH ELIZABETH FERRIS SMITH
"We saw Pacific in the fall and had some success against them but we knew they'd come to Irvine and play us hard with no inhibitions. I am pleased that we had another good day in doubles. We had solid court positioning and played our games relentlessly and didn't look back. Singles were a little tighter than the score may reveal. We played key moments with confidence to close out matches to take the win. I am very proud of the belief we have in ourselves and each other."
FROM CAROLYNA FOWLER
"I am really happy with how I competed today and the team effort. I trusted my game plan in singles and stayed aggressive in the important moments, and Amanda and I played very assertive doubles. I'm proud of the way we came together, handled adversity, and supported each other across all courts in a 6-1 win. Go 'Eaters!"
