CSCÂ Women's Tennis Academic All-District Team

Kayla Meraz and junior
Haily Huynh have been named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Women's Tennis Academic All-District Team.
The second-year team captain Meraz competed at both the No. 1 and No. 2 singles positions in 2025 and finished dual match play with a 9-7 record, 2-5 in conference action. Meraz fought hard in her top of the lineup spot with three sets against other all-conference honorees were sent to a tie breaker. The senior is a two-time CSC Academic All-District recipient, a two-time ITA Scholar Athlete, and landed on the Big West Spring All-Academic Team a season ago. Meraz will graduate with her degree in Public Health Policy this spring.
H. Huynh finished second among the Anteaters with 14 singles wins (14-6) including five in league play (5-4). She earned at least one victory at the No. 3, No. 4, No. 5, and No. 6 positions with the most (seven, 7-0) coming on court four. The junior also went 6-6 in doubles play with all six of her wins at the top of the lineup. The first-year captain and second-time CSC Academic All-District honoree is also a two-time ITA Scholar Athlete and was on the Big West Spring All-Academic Team in 2024. H. Huynh is a double-major in Criminology, Law, and Society and Psychological Science.

To be considered for Academic All-District honors, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, carry a minimum 3.50 cumulative GPA and have been in the lineup for 70% of the team's total matches.
