LAS VEGAS, NV - UC Irvine finished fourth at the Big West Championships that wrapped up Tuesday at the Spanish Trail Country Club.
The Anteaters were fourth, the highest finish since 2021 with a 54-hole total of 893 (303-286-304) . UCI had a tournament-best 179 pars and were sixth with 28 birdies.
Freshman
Katherine Gerbing led the Anteaters with a score of 221 (76-67-78) which was tied for seventh. She led all players in Par 5 scoring with a 4.58 mark and was tied for third in birdies with 10.
Freshmen
Katelyn Kong (75-72-76) and
HaYoung Lee (74-72-77) were 11th with a three-day score of 223. Kong was tied for second among participants in pars with 39.
Sophomore
Alyson Sor shot one-over par 73 Tuesday, the best round of the day for UCI and ended in a tie for 28th at 228 (78-77-73). Freshman
Alona Avery was tied for 41st with a score of 238 (81-75-82).
