Nolan Flexen Named AVCA National Player Of The Week

LEXINGTON, KY -- Opposite Nolan Flexen was honored as American Volleyball Coaches Association National Player of the Week after his stellar performance against USC last week.

It is Flexen first AVCA weekly award and the 34th time an Anteater has been honored. Teammate Hilir Henno was the last UCI player to earn the accolade on Feb. 18, 2024.

In the first meeting with the Trojans, Flexen led the Anteaters with his first career double-double, posting a career-best 27 kills and 12 digs, while hitting .420 with just six errors in 50 swings. He also had five block assists. His 27 kills are tied for fifth most in the country this year.  In the second meeting with the Trojans, Flexen totaled a team-best 14 kills and five digs.

For the week, Flexen averaged 5.13 kills, 5.63 points, 2.13 digs and 0.75 blocks per set.

Flexen was also named Big West Offensive Player of the Week, the second time this season he claimed that honor.
