Hunter Hernandez has earned her second-straight Big West Women's Basketball Player of the Week award the conference office announced Monday afternoon.

Hernandez, who collected her fourth career weekly honor, is the Big West's first repeat winner of the 2025-26 season.

Hernandez became the 16th member of UC Irvine women's basketball's 1,000-point club in Saturday's 77-57 win over California Baptist. Hernandez, who entered the game needing 21 points to reach the milestone, led all players with 27. She scored her 1,000th point on a free throw with 6:12 left in the fourth quarter.

It was Hernandez's fourth 20+ point performance of the year. The 5-foot-9 guard shot 40% from the field, 60% from beyond the arc, and went a perfect 8-of-8 at the free throw line. She added four rebounds, a season-best four assists, and one steal with zero turnovers.

For the season, Hernandez is tops on the squad with 16.7 points per game.

The Anteaters extended their win streak to eight and improved to 9-2 overall to tie the program's best start through 11 games.
