When and how did you get started playing basketball?
I started playing basketball when I was four and got on my first team when I was in second grade. I started because of my dad watching the Chicago Bulls and Derrick Rose when I was little.
Who has been your biggest inspiration on the court?
Stephen Curry. I love his three-point shot. It's crazy how he can shoot it; he's unstoppable.
What has been your favorite basketball moment so far?
We were playing Milwaukee Lutheran and that was my 57-point game. In the first half, I rolled my ankle, so I was out for like 10 minutes. Then at the end of the game, we were down by one and I got fouled with 0.5 seconds on the clock. I hit both free throws and we won the game.
Where did you grow up and what would you say is the best part about your hometown?
I grew up in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I would say the best part is my family and Culver's ice cream.
What do you enjoy doing when you have some down time?
I like to spend time with my family, dance on TikTok, and watch WNBA and NBA games.
Why UC Irvine?
I came here because of the coaching staff. They were very genuine and welcoming.
