STOCKTON, Calif. – The UC Irvine men's golf team completed the first round of the Visit Stockton Pacific Invitational Thursday at The Reserve at Spanos Park.
 
The Anteaters combined for a 5-count-4 total of 304. Colorado and tournament host Pacific are tied for first after 18 holes at 12-under 276. San Diego's Ian Maspat leads the individual field at 8-under 64.
 
Junior Jason Tang leads the 'Eaters in 51st at 2-over 74. Sophomore Jack Yu and senior Rei Harashima both carded a 76 (+4) to tie for 66th. Yu had a team-best four birdies on the day but also had four bogeys over his last nine holes. Sophomores Tommy Lin and Owen Davis-Piger are tied for 81st (78).
 
UCI returns to The Reserve at Spanos Park for the second round of the Visit Stockton Pacific Invitational on Friday. The Anteaters have tee times starting at 7:39 a.m.
