IRVINE, Calif. – UC Irvine hit a season-high .317 in a 3-0 sweep of Hawaii (25-7, 25-17, 25-20) at the Bren Events Center Tuesday night.

The Anteaters hit .317 (34-8-82) and held UH to -.041 (23-27-97), the lowest percentage by a UCI opponent this season.

The UCI block was dominant recording 11 to Hawaii's 4. Middle blocker Sydnee Rowe had a match-high eight total blocks (1 solo), while opposite Lois Hansen had a career-best six block assists in the win.

Setter Nicole Feliciano guided the Anteater offense, spreading the love as six different players recorded six or more kills.  Outside hitter Kendra Duffey led all players with 11 kills, hitting .346 (11-2-26). She also added seven digs and a block assist.

UCI has won the last three meetings with Hawaii and goes to 8-13 overall and 3-6 in the Big West. Hawaii is 7-13 and 3-6.

"I was really proud of how our team played tonight. They were disciplined and consistent over the course of the match which is something we have struggled with this season. We found our grove tonight and it was a great team win."

INSIDE THE NUMBERS
>Middle blocker Ally Bolden totaled eight kills and three total blocks
>Hansen hit .333 on seven kills in 18 attempts with just one error
>Libero Campbell Jensen logged 17 digs and four set assists

>UCI hit .450 (11-2-20), while Hawaii was -.310 (3-12-29) with five Anteater blocks

SECOND SET
>UCI scored four straight on four UH errors, one a block by Rowe and Hansen, 4-1
>A 7-1 spurt which included a pair of kills by Kendra Duffey and one from Nicole Feliciano and Rowe increased the lead, 15-8
>Back-to-back Rainbow Wahine errors, the last courtesy of a block by Rowe and Hansen gave the Anteaters a 23-15 advantage
>A UH attack that sailed wide handed UCI the 25-17 victory

THIRD SET
>A block, kill and ace got Hawaii out to a quick 3-0 start
>A Hawaii service error, a block by Hansen and Ally Bolden and a kill from Bolden closed the gap, 4-6
>Bolden took over with a kill, solo and block assist to bring the Anteaters within 9-11
>Duffey had a kill before Bolden smacked down an overpass to tie the score at 11-11
>Another kill by Duffey forced a UH timeout as the Anteaters moved in front 12-11
>An Emma Napoleon ace stretched the lead to 14-12
>After UH tied it at 14s, UCI used a kill by Duffey cross court, a block by Hansen and Rowe and two Hawaii attack errors, 18-14
>Another Duffey kill put the Anteaters up 20-15
>Duffey would tip it to the back of the court off a defender then pounded another off the block for the match 25-20

NOTES
>The Rainbow Wahine's seven points in the first set were the lowest ever by Hawaii against UCI in the current scoring era
>It is the seventh time UCI has recorded double-figure blocks this season
>This is the fourth win all-time against Hawaii
