IRVINE, Calif. – UC Irvine student-athletes were successful in the classroom following the 2024 Fall Quarter.

Following the Fall academic quarter, 117 student-athletes were honored on the Dean's List. To qualify for the Dean's List, individuals need 12 or more undergraduate graded units in a quarter with a GPA of 3.50 or better.

On the men's side, both men's golf and men's tennis tied for the top spot with a 3.33 GPA.
 
"I am proud of the commitment our team has made to their academic success," men's golf head coach Paul Smolinski said. "It highlights the importance that our program places on our student-athletes working every day to be the best competitive golfers and the best students they can be."
 
Women's tennis finished atop all women's programs, ending the quarter with a 3.61 mark.

"Their academic success is a great point of pride and every quarter I am continually impressed with their work ethic, ability to mange time and stress, and pursuit of excellence," remarked women's tennis head coach Elizabeth Ferris Smith. "Our entire team has a true commitment to rigorous academic pursuit while having the demands of athletic competition. We are pleased to see our student athletes prioritize education and growth and are appreciative of all the resources and help from staff through the Al Irwin academic center."

Overall, 14 UCI teams earned over a 3.0 GPA in the quarter.
